  • Melvin is still smiling after receiving a special dream presented by Don Arden's Jubilee Dancers at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was treated to lunch with his sisters and special seats at the Don Arden's Jubilee show at Bally's Las Vegas.

  • Gladys wanted to visit a candy making faculity, as she had missed a trip  with us last fall. We contacted a local company called Four Sisters  Chocolatiers, and they graciously agreed to host a small group from our  community. Tammy taught us about tempering chocolate, harvesting cocoa,  preparing strawberries, using locally made pretzels, and about the  rising cost of chocolate and sugar.

  • Helen was full of joy for several days after enjoying her favorite sundae. When I reminded her that she was going to have one once a month, her eyes were as big as the moon.

  • Terry is 64-years-old and his wardrobe consists of WWE and Pittsburgh  Steelers T-shirts, and we thought the best way to fulfill his dream is  to take him to a WWE event in his favorite city! Monday Night Raw was at  the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on March 21,2011 and Terry’s  wish come true. His dream fulfilled was like winning the Championship  belt!
  • Julian Harter, a resident at Quail Summit Senior Living Community in  Canandaigua has a passion for Syracuse Men's Basketball.  Julian saw his  favorite team in action for the first time in his life at 87 years old.

  • Juanita's Dream Come True!  She loves listening to Michael Buble' and her dream was to hear him in concert!  She told the newspaper reporter -
  • <em>When Flora was told that her dream of visiting the Festival of Trees in Methuen was going to come true, her eyes sparkled even more brightly than any of the more than 200 trees there. This annual event is in its’ seventeenth years. The proceeds from this event help preserve the heritage and monuments that make Methuen and other Merrimack Valley communities so unique. </em>
  • Erma wished for a night of laughter.  Her dreamweavers arranged for a night on the town in style and tickets to see the ever funny - Terry Fator!~
  • David proudly served in the US Air Force, but was unable to be a pilot  due to strict requirements.  He always admired the leather bomber  jackets worn by the Airmen Pilots and always wanted to be able to wear  one of his own.  Since the Air Force Pilot jacket is exclusive and can  only be purchased by an active duty pilot, David was never able to  purchase one.  Thanks to McGuire Air Force Base, his dream came true!
  • Christmas Wishes granted to 300 residents of the New Jersey Veteran's Home thanks to the generosity of Boscov's Department Store and the local Vineland Community.  Read all about it here.
  • Shirleen ventured out for a day at the Georgia Aquarium on Wednesday, November 17, 2010.  It was a great day!  Because the staff that accompanied her and another resident had neither one ever been to the aquarium, they all saw it for the first time together. Satrting with the sharks and sting rays, we enjoyed the entire place.  The most exciting was to see the great white whales and the mascot that came up and interacted with us.  There were Japanese Crabs, jelly fish, rock fish and fish from all over the world.  We also enjoyed our first 3-D movie!   • Alvin Lee enjoyed a Blizzard from Dairy Queen before a rousing game of Bingo at Homestead Nursing Center.  The Blizzards were provided to the residents as part of the Second Wind Dream program and the sponsor was the summer Bible School program at New Castle Christian Church.  The children brought in donations to support the dream of a resident to have a Blizzard!  They collected enough to provide each resident who wanted a Blizzard including the favorites Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Cheesecake, Oreo,  Cookie Dough, Reese!  Also special thanks to Virgil Price and Dairy Queen for assisting with the project. 
  • Four Veterans had a common dream- they were avid fans of the Supremes.  Mary Wilson personally visited the Veterans Home to announce that this dream was granted. During her visit, she gave a mini concert to all of the Veterans at the Home.  She then invited the four Veterans to be her personal guests at her concert on Ocober 30th and gave them front row tickets at the performance!

  • Being a native of Hawaii, this elder wanted to enjoy a traditional Luau.  Thanks to the Harrah's HERO team in Las Vegas, she and a friend enjoyed an authentic luau complete with music, dancers and of course lots of food!

  • NASCAR great Jeff Gordon, made this SC resident's dream come true at the Rockingham speedway.  Even after the dream he sent one of his NASCAR jackets to the nursing home.
  • Roselyn, of Southern Pines, NC, watched CNN's Rick Sanchez religiously for years.  She was given the royal treatment at Atlanta's CNN center where Rick had her on his show and had plenty of hugs for her.
  • At 102, Augie dreamed of riding a Harley again and seeing the local dealer.  His grand daughter joined him as he looked at the inventory and was then treated to a what he called

  • Betty Williams always loved the Donny & Marie show and thanks to the Harrah's HERO volunteers in Las Vegas, she got the chance to see their show and spend a little one on one time with the famous siblings.
  • Willie McCall, 88, said that the music of Aretha Franklin had helped him through some rough times.  He was known for dancing and said that Ms. Franklin's music was easy to move to.  Willie was invited to attend a concert at the Horseshoe Casino including limo transport and a few surprises along the way.
  • From Penacook Place in MA, this was a dream date. They had met in the nursing home and for Valentine's Day they had their first date out complete with limo, roses and a barber shop quartet serenade.
  • Fred's smile doesn't get much wider than when the Hooters Girls surprised him with a t-shirt and wings for all of his friends.
  • Dreams as important and simple as a picnic outside with the others who live with her in a special care unit. The smiles and fresh air are priceless for this resident.
  • John was so excited as we bundled him up on a crisp fall day for a dream ride in a red convertible. He got a grand tour of downtown Atlanta, Historic Decatur and the speed of the freeway. When asked what his favorite part was, he said 'they were all great and I'm ready to go again.'
  • Fred, an Atlanta nursing home resident, still wanted to keep up with the times. He had to leave his computer at home so dreamed of having another one to play games and more importantly to have email.
  • Sandra had ridden Harleys in her younger days and has always wanted a tattoo. Her dreams came true with 25 Harley riders and a temporary tattoo of a Panther. When she got on the Harley, she was told 'Don't forget to hold on', Sandra replied, 'I haven't had my arms around a man for so long, there's no way I'm going to let go. I may not come back.' Stone Mountain Harley in Georgia fell in love with Sandra and will take her to their next meeting to meet everyone else.
  • Tiny Evelyn, from Joliett, IL had always wanted to ride a camel. The police department raised the money to have Einstein the Camel take her for a ride. When asked if this was the best thing that had ever happened to her, she replied that 'it has to be, nothing else has ever happened.'
  • Flossie was 'Born to be Wild', and just one month shy of her 100th birthday, she acted wild. Ready for her first ever motorcycle ride, in a pink leather jacket. She rode first in a sidecar but wasn't satisfied with that. She wanted to be on the motorcycle with the engine running. The smile says it all.
